Luxury Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin recently launched its first mono-brand boutique in the Mumbai suburb of Borivali. Renowned for its signature nautical appeal, the brand has cultivated a loyal following for both men’s and women’s watches in India. Interestingly, the percentage of women’s watches sold by Ulysse Nardin in India is higher than anywhere else in the world, highlighting the country’s significance in their global market strategy.

The brand’s commitment to environmental and social responsibility is one of the key elements in their development strategy. Their natural interest in the marine world have led them to focus their efforts on SDG 14, which determines the priority actions to be carried out for ensuring sustainable management of the Ocean. This dedication is evident in their use of discarded fishing nets and other recycled materials to craft timepieces like the Diver The Ocean Race, a limited edition of just 200 pieces.

Ulysse Nardin expands its portfolio of sustainable watches with a new capsule collection featuring two models: the Diver Net OPS and the Diver X Skeleton OPS. These timepieces are the epitome of cool, showcasing black DLC carbonium cases contrasted by shades of khaki. Combining high horology with a modern, sporty edge, this duo exemplifies Ulysse Nardin’s commitment to innovation and style.

Originally introduced as a concept in 2020, the Diver X Skeleton diving watch quickly transitioned to market, showcasing Ulysse Nardin’s innovative spirit and dedication to sustainability—a core mission of the Maison. Four years later, Ulysse Nardin continues to push the boundaries of sustainable design by sourcing cutting-edge materials. The watch’s ultra-modern design is highlighted by the striking X-shaped skeleton structure on the dial, accented with khaki tones that complement the fabric strap, which is partially made from upcycled fishing nets.
